The total world is full of big and small creatures. There are lots of biggest animals in the planet which is classified by different categories like mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians etc. Theirs is a list of some of the world’s largest creature which is based on these categories

There are some specific animals in this world that are known because of their great size. This time we made an attempt to prepare the list of the first 10 animals which made their place in the top 10 list for their big size.

1. The blue whale – The blue whale the scientific name is Balaenoptera musculus is basically a largest marine mammal which is belonging from baleen whales. This creature has 30 meters length and over 180 metric tons; it is the largest mammals of the world. The unique thing is that weight of the tongue of this biggest is around 2.7 metric tons.

2. African Elephant – African Elephant is considered as the biggest living land animal that can weigh more than 6,350kg and from the trunk to tail the length is 10.6 m. The mature and completely developed African bush elephant usually has no natural predators because of its huge size.

3. Giraffe – Giraffe is measured as the tallest or longest living creature in the world. Its height is 5.8 m and weight is more than 2,000 kg. This biggest animal is stands 5 to 6 m or 16 to 20 ft tall and its average weight is 1,600 kg for males and 830 kg for females. Having a tremendously elongated neck which is more than 2m, the giraffe is considered as world longest living creature.

4. Southern Elephant Seal – Today, Southern elephant seal is considered as the world biggest carnivore. There is an extremely sexual dimorphism is found in seal size. The male seals are five to six times weighty than the females. The female’s average weight is 400 to 900 kilograms and these are 2.6 to 3 meters long. This largest animal dive repeatedly, each time they drive over twenty minutes at 400 to 1,000 meters or 1,300 to 3,300 ft in depth , due to hunt their food.

5. Brown Bear and polar bear – Having 1 ton weight and 3m height, brown bear and polar bear are considered as the largest living land carnivores. According to the research these polar bear and Kodiak bear are the subspaces of brown bear. Because all these bear has same body sizes, but it is not clear which bear are definitively bigger? The shoulder height of these both species has been considered at over 1.6 m (5.2 ft) and total length is more than 3.05 m (10.0 ft).

6. Saltwater Crocodile – Saltwater Crocodile is the largest living reptile of the world with a length of 5 m. these are the biggest recorded crocodile with 1900 kg weight and 6.3 m length.

7. The Chinese giant salamander – The Chinese giant salamander, the scientific name is Andrias davidianus, is another largest species of the world, having 180 cm or 6 ft length. This is a rare species, generally found in Endemic to rocky mountain streams and lakes in all over China. Due to over collecting, it is considered they are in danger, because it is used in traditional Chinese medicine.

8. Flemish Giant – The Flemish giant, which is actually a giant rabbit, considered as the biggest mammals in the world. The Flemish Giant is basically an old breed of domesticated rabbits which is actually coming from the Flemish species. The weight of this giant rabbits is 12.7 kg.

9. The Giant golden-crowned flying fox – The Giant golden-crowned flying fox is basically the biggest bat species and the scientific name of is Acerodon jubatus. This is very rare bat species which is available in the rain forest of the Philippines and this is part of the megabat family. The maximum weight of this giant bat is 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) and the length is 55 cm (22 in).

10. The Capybara – The biggest living rodent in the world is the capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris), originating from the tropical and temperate portion of South America, they are always living near water. Adult capybaras are 1.5 m (4.9 ft) long and maximum weight is 105.4 kg (232 lb).
